What kind of bikini wax will you go for?

Whether you’re prepping yourself for a fabulous girly getaway in a sun-soaked destination or keeping your lady garden trimmed and tidy, there’s a bikini waxing style that will suit you. We’re the female waxing specialists of Derby, and according to our customers, these 5 Kinds of Bikini Waxes are the most popular. The only question is, which one is the best for you?

Standard Bikini Wax

This type of bikini wax is the perfect place to begin if you’ve never had a bikini wax before. It’s just like the name suggests. A bikini wax is a tidy up of the edges, including anything that would lie outside of a modest panty line. This would be anywhere on the thighs or above the waist of your knickers. It’s ideal if you want the au naturale look but want it to be a bit more shaped.

Extended Bikini Wax

Just like a traditional bikini wax, the extended bikini wax is a tidy up of the edges and the top. It still gives a full, au naturale look, but allows you to wear those skimpier bikinis and panties without having to worry about strays.

Australian

Just like a traditional bikini wax, the extended bikini wax is a tidy up of the edges and the top. It still gives a full, au naturale look, but allows you to wear those skimpier bikinis and panties without having to worry about strays.

Brazilian

The Brazilian is perfect for ladies who don’t want to get rid of absolutely everything, but still want a very clean and tidy look. With the Brazilian, you have a thin landing strip from the top down, but the bum will be super smooth. Like to wear those itty, bitty G-strings? The Brazilian is the perfect wax for you.

Hollywood

The name says it all. This wax will leave you feeling like a fabulous celeb with your own little secret. If you love the feeling of absolutely no hair – that’s right, not a wisp, not a fluff, nothing the Hollywood is the way to go. Everything is taken off from front to back, so be prepared to bare all. Just remember, this isn’t something your waxer hasn’t seen before!
What is the difference between cool/warm wax and hot wax?

Here at Avance Clinic, we use the cool/warm wax procedure. The result is a longer lasting wax, which grows back thinner with each continued application. The wax goes against the hair in the same direction each time you are waxed. This allows for a better result, less grow back and less chance of hair breakage leading to ingrown hairs.

With hot wax, the procedure may be a smidgen less painful, but in the end you are left with hair that grows back in different directions, broken hairs and in most cases your hair grows back within days instead of weeks. If you want your wax to last up to 4-6 weeks, a cool/warm wax is the way forward.
