What are stretch marks?
Stretch marks are lines across the skin and they can happen when the skin has to stretch and cover a larger area, such as when you are pregnant. If you gain weight you can also get stretch marks and they may remain even when you lose that weight, or after you return to your normal size after childbirth.
Stretch marks can be pink, red, brown, black, silver or purple. They are most common on the tummy, chest, upper arms, legs, bottom, hips or back.
How can laser treatment help stretch marks?
Treatment with the ResurFX™ technology of the M22™ laser machine can reduce the appearance of stretch marks by firing laser beams of light energy into the deeper layers of the skins to stimulate production of collagen (the protein in skin) and elastin fibres to produce smoother skin. Elastin fibres can stretch up to 1.5 times their length, and snap back to their original length when relaxed, but they’re not present in scarred and damaged skin tissue.
The ResurFX™ handpiece includes a cooling tip to ensure maximum comfort for clients. You may experience a warm prickling sensation, but the treatment is gentle and should not be painful.

And now after 7 I'd say it's 90% gone and the sparse hairs that remain are so much slower to come back. I'm confident that those last stragglers will be zapped too in no time. I’ve recently had a course of IPL laser treatments for my port wine birthmark and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I had treatment previously at a well-known chain clinic where I paid a lot of money for okay results — but nothing in comparison to what Carlae has achieved. After years of struggling with thick dark hairs around my chin, jaw and upper lip which in the end I was using tweezers on every day, I was desperate to find a solution and came across Avance Clinic which offered laser hair removal. From the start Carly made me comfortable, she was friendly, helpful, honest and transparent about how it worked and how many sessions I would need. I was still very skeptical that it would work for me however I was amazed that I noticed such a difference from the very first session. I am now nearing the end of my treatment and can honestly say it's changed my life with the majority of the hair gone. I would highly recommend.

Before starting this journey I have done a lot of research and I am so happy I found this clinic in Derby. I started my laser hair removal treatments 6 months ago and the results I have so far are unbelievable. Lana is very knowledgeable and professional, she explains everything (knows everything about laser hair removal) and is very patient with me during the treatment. Finding avance clinic has been one of the best things that happened to me this year. I am an frican lady with very stubborn dark marks on my face and have been looking for clinics that performs laser skin treatment on african skin, I have gone to many clinics in the uk but I get rejected because they do not have experience with my skin type. luckily for me that was not the case with avance clinic, they welcomed me with open arms and took the challenge, I have been undergoing q switched laser treatment and I must say they are the best. The care and attention I received is unbeatable, clean enviroment and very attentive staff. I have started seeing results after 4 treatmenst and can not wait to finish the whole treatment and get the final results, thank you so much Avance clinic for waking up my self confidence and making me a new woman.
