Q-Switched with the M22™
The Q-Switched Nd-YAG laser technology, used in the Lumenis M22™ machine, has a large spot size on its handpiece making it ideal for quick and effective treatments of deep, black ink tattoos.
The Q-Switched handpiece sends out short pulses of intense light. This light converts to heat and, in the case of tattoos, it targets the ink and breaks it down so that it is gently reabsorbed by the body and then expelled naturally.
When you have a treatment with the Q-Switched, your eyes will be covered by protective goggles before the handpiece is applied to the area of your skin to be treated.
If you have very sensitive skin, you may have temporary redness and white spots for a very short while after the treatment.
You must apply sunscreen at SPF 30 every day for a couple of weeks after treatment as your skin will be more susceptible to burning – even on days when the sun is not shining. Our technician will give you all the aftercare information you need and explain what is involved when you have a no-obligation consultation and patch test before embarking on a course of treatment.

I’ve recently completed my 6th session with Carly, and I wish I did this years ago! The results from laser is amazing and has boosted my confidence with areas I’ve been self conscious about for years. Carly is also amazing during the experience, she’s very knowledgable about the whole process and makes you feel very relaxed - even whilst working on intimate areas. Before starting this journey I have done a lot of research and I am so happy I found this clinic in Derby. I started my laser hair removal treatments 6 months ago and the results I have so far are unbelievable. Lana is very knowledgeable and professional, she explains everything (knows everything about laser hair removal) and is very patient with me during the treatment. Also, as a bonus, every time I go to my appointments with Lana it feels like going to visit a long time friend for nice chat. 🤗

Finding avance clinic has been one of the best things that happened to me this year. I am an frican lady with very stubborn dark marks on my face and have been looking for clinics that performs laser skin treatment on african skin, I have gone to many clinics in the uk but I get rejected because they do not have experience with my skin type. luckily for me that was not the case with avance clinic, they welcomed me with open arms and took the challenge, I have been undergoing q switched laser treatment and I must say they are the best. The care and attention I received is unbeatable, clean enviroment and very attentive staff. I have started seeing results after 4 treatmenst and can not wait to finish the whole treatment and get the final results, thank you so much Avance clinic for waking up my self confidence and making me a new woman.

Booked to have a few thread veins zapped on face and from the very first phone call with Deborah then Sarah on Reception, the experience has been really positive.Carly explained everything and is very knowledgeable, really knows her stuff. The discomfort of waxing and electrolysis trarments on unwanted hair prompted me to try laser hair removal. Carly welcomed me at Avance clinic answering all my questions which reassured me prior to the treatment. I have had a trial and 2 sessions so far. The treatment has not been painful and is such a relief compared to previous methods l have had. I am amazed with the results so far. Payment is per session or as a block which is really flexible. The clinic itself is convenient, with parking and really comfortable and welcoming.
