ResurFX™ with the M22™

The ResurFX™ mode of the Lumenis M22™ laser machine provides a safe and gentle way of rejuvenating and resurfacing the skin. This makes it ideal for improving skin that is marked by acne scarring; scarring from injuries and surgery or stretch marks caused by pregnancy or weight loss. It can also reduce the signs of ageing, including age spots, sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles.

The handset, which looks like a tiny hairdryer, fires light energy deep into the skin to stimulate collagen (a type of protein found in skin) and bring new, fresh skin cells back to the surface. This is the key to improving the texture of the skin, overcoming scarring and combating the fine lines, wrinkles and damage associated with mature skin.

Lumenis has described the ResurFX™ as ‘the only true fractional, non-ablative technology available’. ‘Fractional’ means that it only affects a fraction of skin because the laser light is delivered precisely to the problem area. ‘Non-ablative’ means that it does not destroy (or ablate) the skin cells it targets. This means our clients get maximum results with virtually no side-effects.

Some other skin rejuvenation treatments can produce crusting, swelling or other unsightly side-effects after treatment and before any benefits can be seen. With the ResurFX, clients usually only experience minor, temporary redness. Depending on the treatment, you may have very slight swelling for a few hours. The ResurFX handset has a cool tip to help keep the skin comfortable and chilled. Each pulse of the laser may result in a prickling sensation, but should not be painful.

It can also be combined with the IPL (Intense Pulsed light) mode of the Lumenis M22™ laser machine to treat both skin pigmentation and fine lines at the same time.

Carly is absolutely amazing at what she does. I have had 6 sessions of laser hair removal for my underarms and the difference is insane. I used to have to shave everyday because my hair grew so quickly and now I hardly ever need to. There are no more dark patches either which I love and the skin is so smooth. The discomfort of waxing and electrolysis trarments on unwanted hair prompted me to try laser hair removal. Carly welcomed me at Avance clinic answering all my questions which reassured me prior to the treatment. I have had a trial and 2 sessions so far. The treatment has not been painful and is such a relief compared to previous methods l have had. I am amazed with the results so far. Payment is per session or as a block which is really flexible. The clinic itself is convenient, with parking and really comfortable and welcoming.
